As of July 1, 2026, Happy Ratters titles are officially recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club. Learn more about title recognition →
Every dog starts at Ratter (certain grandfathering exceptions apply) and climbs. Each level adds rats, time, and difficulty. A title at each level takes 300 points (500 for Extraordinaire), with 100 points available per run.
Beyond Extraordinaire lies the summit. Only teams that finish REX may attempt it — and only near-perfect runs count.
runs scoring 100+ points, all earned after the REX title
of those runs must score 130+ points — a perfect run plus a fast "clear" call bonus
faults allowed. A single fault ends the run on the spot
Same course as Extraordinaire: 1–5 rats, number unknown, no 30-second warning, no room for error. And the climb doesn't stop: XREX2 at 60 qualifying runs, XREX3 at 90, and beyond.
Titled at a level but love it too much to leave? Stay and run "Metallic." Points keep accumulating from your first run at that level.

RATB, a Gold Happy Ratter is HRATG. For REX teams, both REX and XREX runs count toward medallions.Fifteen games test specific skills — distance, speed, silence, teamwork. Every dog starts at Level 1 in each game (no grandfathering). Each level title takes 300 points; Level 5 titles take 500. Medallions apply here, too.
Versatility rewards teams that master the standard class and the games at the same level. The formula is simple:
