The Junior Handler program

If you're 5–17, get your own Junior Handler number, earn points at trials, and work toward youth awards! You'll compete at regular Happy Ratters trials, accompanied by an adult. For the full rules, see the Junior Handler Registration and Program section of the rule book.

Junior Handler Titles

These titles belong to you, not your dog! Every run you make earns points toward your very own titles, while your four-legged partner racks up points of its own at the same time. It's a fun way to build confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the sport.

Report your points after a trial

Before you leave the trial, have a host club official (the Trial Chair or Trial Secretary) or a judge check and sign your points form. Then email it to forms@happyratters.com with the subject line Junior Handler Points — [Your Name]
